Josephine Bonaparte’s children seem like they were really neat people in their own right. Napoleon practically considered them his children as well, and they probably had better heads on their shoulders than most of Napoleon’s blood relatives!

arthistoryx: Josephine de Beauharnais, 1805 Jaques-Louis David Who else has read the “Josephine B.” series by Sandra Gulland? It’s such a good series - the three books just flew by. What I love best about the series is the characters. Gulland is able to create a whole cast of wonderful, believable characters that stay with you long after the final page.
